These little bundles of five sixteenths of a metre are perfect for mixing in with other scraps for a traditional boro inspired style. ‘Potluck’ refers to the mixture in each bundle, with no two quite the same, but each including a variety of the different fabrics I sell, selected from across the ranges.

NB - because my fabric range is constantly slightly changing, the exact fabrics in your bundle will vary from those shown, although the general assortment will be similar.

You will get ONE bundle, and it will be a surprise which one you get! Order more than one, and I will make sure you get two which are not alike, so you can get a really good mixture of colours and textures into your best boro inspired project.

Fabrics may include Azumino cotton, Kofu Tsumugi yarn dyes, Shima stripes, Takumi prints, and Sakizome Momen yarn dyes from Olympus; Akita cotton/linen blend; Peppered Cotton shot cottons from Studio E; Sevenberry Japanese fabrics; and Kaffe Fassett shot cottons and stripes. These cover a wide variety of colours, thicknesses and textures, and are suitable for stitching into boro inspired projects with fine and medium mercerised sashiko threads. The fabric assortment will vary from those bundles shown in the photos.

Peppered Cottons and Kaffe Fassett shot cottons are woven in India. Other fabrics are produced in Japan.

All 100% cotton, apart from the cotton/linen blend which is 20% linen, 80% cotton.

  • Because these bundles contain a mixture of different fabrics, they may shrink at different rates. To minimise this, press fabrics with a shot of steam before use.

  • Some of the stronger coloured Indian cotton fabrics may bleed slightly when first washed. However, this may add to the washed and worn look of boro inspired textiles.
