Ideal for all kinds of embroidery, including cross stitch, 'French embroidery' (as contemporary floral embroidery is know in Japan), kogin (on 20 count fabric), or as a colour accent on sashiko, particularly kugurizashi ('go through' or threaded/woven sashiko).
