A range of stunning contemporary sashiko sampler cloths from QH Textiles, on two different fabric colours. These panels are printed on sarashi, a lightweight, absorbent cotton traditionally used for hanafukin cloths.

Hanafukin are used like a cross between a napkin, placemat, and dish cloth, traditionally stitched through two layers, but the fabric is also suitable for bags, cushions, quilts etc. and many people stitch through just one layer for these. What will you make and which pattern will you choose?

NB - the blue cotton is a different shade from the Olympus Thread Mfg. Co. indigo or dark blue hanafukin panels.
