These hanafukin (flower cloth) sashiko sampler panels are ready to stitch, with classic traditional sashiko designs from Olympus Thread Mfg. Co. They come with easy to follow stitching diagrams and instructions in Japanese (you can use the Google Translate phone app to 'read' the Japanese text too). Designed to be completed as hanafukin (a kind of cross between a napkin, place mat, and towel), many customers also use them as quilt panels, for cushions, bags, table runners etc. They are printed on sarashi, a soft, slightly absorbent traditional Japanese cotton, and may be stitched through two layers (the backing is attached) or through just one layer.

Select your panel and choose any of our medium sashiko threads to make a beautiful hitomezashi sampler.
