The work of English designer, artist, writer and philosopher William Morris and the company he founded, Morris & Co., were a radical alternative to late nineteenth century designs, and have had a resurgence of popularity from the 1960s onwards. There are many quilt fabric designers who are inspired by Morris & Co. designs, and now they are reworking classics from their archive for FreeSpirit fabrics.
