Coming right up to the minute in terms of interior decoration style, 'Hikkaduwa' (first photo) by Scion for FreeSpirit is a patchwork weight version of one of their most popular interior decoration fabric and wallpaper designs. It coordinates beautifully with 'Padukka' (second photo). 'Named after one of Sri Lankas palm fringed beaches, painterly banana leaves overlap to create a soft stripe on this colourful Scion fabric.' So if you want to, you could go full on matchy matchy with this fabric for a patchwork quilt. NB- the scale of these patterns is smaller in the patchwork fabric version.

Printed on patchwork weight cotton, this fabric also makes an unusual coordinate for my sashiko panels, and the colours can be matched from my extensive range of sashiko threads. Free Spirit fabrics are printed on a 68 count cotton rather than the 60 count used for many other brands, meaning they are slightly finer than many patchwork fabrics and are also suitable for making clothing.

Quantities are limited, and I can't reorder.

111cm (44in) wide.

100% cotton

NB - sold by the half metre, so order '2' for 1 metre, '3' for 1.5m etc.
