Jason Yenter's 'Elysian' collection for In The Beginning takes it's inspiration from the Elysian Fields of Greek mythology. This graceful border print has silhouettes of various plants against a lilac sky, with butterflies flitting along the design. You get the pattern printed for times across the width of the fabric, parallel to the selvedge, so you can border your quilt beautifully. Each border section is approx 10 1/2in wide, so it would make a real statement as a quilt border. It would also make a lovely 'frame' for one of my printed sashiko panels.

The quality of In The Beginning's digital prints is always superb and the bold colours are really gorgeous, with the plant silhouettes drawn very delicately. It would go so well with our purple and lilac sashiko threads for big stitch quilting.
