Folding fans with several different designs fall a bokashi shaded background in black and grey, scattered with tiny gold blossoms. The fans are decorated with various flowers plus motifs like artistocratic carriages and spherical bells, so this is another 'all seasons' design. A lively design, and perfect for adding that authentic touch to your Japanese themed project.
'Haku' has multiple meanings in Japanese, including sky, spring, white, feather and chief official! Maybe it is those carriages that gave it the name...!
I used a lot of these kinds of prints in my books 'Japanese Quilt Blocks to Mix and Match' and 'Japanese Quilt Inspirations', and they aren't so easy to find at the moment, so I'm always pleased when I spot another design I love.
