The first version of the 2026 lucky bags included a 30 x 35cm precut piece of Kofu Tsumugi cotton from Olympus Japan... These sold out very quickly! I've run out of those precuts now, so I am replacing them with a different sashiko fabric, Azumino cotton, and have made up a few more.
I have made some more of these bags. The fabric size is the same, but I am cutting the fabric from the bolt because I ran out of precuts! The fabric is now Azumino cotton #65 (second photo), a dark blue cotton, perfect for sashiko. To keep these Lucky Bags at a similar price to my first batch, I'm adding an extra skein of 20m medium sashiko thread, in a solid colour.

But they will be colours that work well against the dark blue, and will be coordinated to look good together.

The Azumino cotton fabric is plain, woven with a threads that vary slightly in thickness, so it looks like handwoven fabric, for you to mark with your own sashiko design, and you can see the full colour range here, available by the 1/2m.
Just a few of the 20m threads are shown in the third photo - there are over 50 different solids and shaded threads now - and all the 20m sashiko threads can be seen here.
I will coordinate your thread colours with your fabric. Threads may be bright colours or more subdued, but each lucky bag will be selected individually, so no two will be alike!
