Several of my wholesalers have discounted fabrics from time to time, so I look out for any I really like when the price is reduced, with a great discount price that I am passing on directly to YOU!
This design of Japanese text, with scattered kanji characters on a blue background of hiragana syllables (first photo) - the two main components of writing Japanese - is printed on a slightly textured fabric similar to a dobby weave or barkcloth. It is a slightly heavier weight than most patchwork cottons, but still fine enough for detailed piecing.
It would make an unusual coordinate for sashiko, as well as being ideal for patchwork, bags, dressmaking etc.
I also have it in the purple colourway.
111cm (44in) wide.
