This truly is 'one from the vaults' - my wholesaler has unearthed some treasures that must have been at the back of the warehouse for years! Hence the great discount price that I am passing on directly to YOU!
I spotted this pretty and subtly coloured 'seaweed'-like print by Carla Miller for Westminster Fibres, and thought it would work well with many other prints I like to use, everything from Kaffe Fassett and Philip Jacobs designs, to reproductions of C19th fabrics. Although it 'reads' as a neutral on first glance, it has touches of a soft lilac and green in the print. I hope you like it too. Other than that Westminster were an excellent quality patchwork brand that were taken over by FreeSpirit a number of years ago, I don't know anything about this design, but I love it anyway. An unusual and attractive semi abstract pattern that will work well for patchwork, dressmaking and other crafting projects.
To give an idea of the scale, the first photo shows a detail approx. 8in square while the second photo shows the full width of the fabric.
This fabric makes an interesting coordinate for my sashiko panels, and the colours can be matched from my extensive range of sashiko threads.
I don't think it will be around long at this price.
