Olympus Thread Mfg. Co. have responded to the demand for cooler masks that are more comfortable to wear in the hot Japanese summer (or any time) with this kit to make your own masks. The fabric is 'Coolmax' polyester cotton, which is more comfortable to wear in hot weather. Summer temperatures in Japan can exceed 40-degrees Celsius, so staying cool is essential. It may not get so warm in the UK, but now mask wearing is mandatory in many indoor situations once again, a cool mask is more comfortable than a warm one. Coolmax is used a lot for summer and tropical outdoor wear.

The pattern supplied with the kit is for an easy two layer mask in three sizes - L and M (adult sizes) and S (for kids) - and will make up three of L and M or four of S size. The design can be adapted to add a PM2.5 disposable filter between the layers, by leaving a gap in the top edge.

Kit contains - mask pattern, fabric, elastic and embroidery thread (handy to add an initial or logo for family masks).

Colour - light grey - also available in light blue.
