This truly is 'one from the vaults' - my wholesaler has unearthed some treasures that must have been at the back of the warehouse for years! Hence the great discount price that I am passing on directly to YOU!
A large scale graphic design of tyres and spark plugs with 'oil spots' and other patterns inspired by vehicles, this is 'Tires' from Be a Man by Douglas Day for FreeSpirit/Westminster. Glyn thought this was fun, and it goes with his Land Rover obsession! It would make a great border for any car enthusiast's quilt, or unusual accessories or clothing. This is the blue/grey colourway.
To give an idea of the scale, the first photo shows a detail approx. 8in wide while the second photo shows the full width of the fabric.
This fabric makes an interesting coordinate for my sashiko panels, and the colours can be matched from my extensive range of sashiko threads. There's one sashiko sampler hanafukin square with a design of arrows, Yajirushi, that reminds me of road markings, and it would make a great border for that!
I don't think it will be around long at this price.
111cm (44in) wide.
100% cotton
NB - sold by the half metre, so order '2' for 1 metre, '3' for 1.5m etc.
