This truly is 'one from the vaults' - my wholesaler has unearthed some treasures that must have been at the back of the warehouse for years! Hence the great discount price that I am passing on directly to YOU!
This nicely drawn design of seashells in brown on a cream background is from the Safe Harbour collection by Diane Knott for Clothworks. It would work nicely with Japanese taupe fabrics, and the seashells are quite realistic compared with a lot of her designs from over 10 years ago, which tended towards rustic Americana - I remember a lot of her Christmas fabrics being popular.
To give an idea of the scale, the first photo shows a detail approx. 8in square while the second photo shows the pattern half the width of the fabric.
Printed on patchwork weight cotton, this fabric makes an ideal coordinate for my sashiko panels, and the colours can be matched from my extensive range of sashiko threads.
I don't think it will be around long at this price.
111cm (44in) wide.
100% cotton
NB - sold by the half metre, so order '2' for 1 metre, '3' for 1.5m etc.
