Kotohi means 'expenses' (money and prosperity), and this large scale design is brimming with traditional Japanese gourd-shaped money bags, decorated with various geometric patterns and with their cords adding a lively element to the design, on a blue background. Mixed in with the scattered purses are temari (embroidered balls). Gleaming gold adds a luxurious warmth to this colourway. Perfect for adding that authentic touch to your Japanese themed project.
Also available in a deep golden cream colourway (second photo).
I used a lot of these kinds of prints in my books 'Japanese Quilt Blocks to Mix and Match' and 'Japanese Quilt Inspirations', and they aren't so easy to find at the moment, so I'm always pleased when I spot another design I love.
