Shima Momen is a beautiful woven striped fabric from Olympus Thread Mfg. Co., excellent for sashiko (incorporate the stripe into your design), patchwork, bag making and other projects. Woven with symmetrical pattern of thick and thin stripes, with a striped coloured warp and narrow red stripes, it coordinates easily with many fabrics - perfect with my preprinted sashiko panels.The weave is loose enough to easily stitch sashiko with fine or medium sashiko threads. Ideal for wearables, boro style patchwork, cushion borders, or sashing, borders and bindings for quilts - anywhere you want a top quality stripe.
