Released in Japan on 21st April 2023 by Olympus Thread Mfg. Co., we have six fabulous new colours in the Kofu Tsumugi range. I hope you like them, because they are colours I asked Olympus to create! Deep blue purple, dark grey, silver grey, reddish grey (a pink), navy grey, and bright purple. They all look stunning together, and compliment other colours in the existing Kofu Tsumugi collection beautifully. They also work very well with the new colours in the 100m medium sashiko thread range.
This listing is for shade 2513 bright purple. This colour makes a subtle transition into the popular 2008 indigo blue via the new 2508 deep blue purple. Out of all the new colours, this is the one I'm most excited about, and I can't wait to be able to include it in a new project.
Richly coloured yarn dyed tsumugi cotton fabric from Olympus Thread Mfg. Co., good for sashiko, patchwork, bag making and other projects. The coloured warp and black weft gives this fabric a deep colour, with little slubs to add texture and character. The weave is loose enough to easily stitch sashiko with fine or medium sashiko threads but close enough to be able to do quite fine patchwork piecing. Ideal for wearables, furoshiki wrapping cloths etc.
