Released in Japan on 21st April 2023 by Olympus Thread Mfg. Co., we have six fabulous new colours in the Kofu Tsumugi range. I hope you like them, because they are colours I asked Olympus to create! Deep blue purple, dark grey, silver grey, reddish grey (a pink), navy grey, and bright purple. They all look stunning together, and compliment other colours in the existing Kofu Tsumugi collection beautifully. They also work very well with the new colours in the 100m medium sashiko thread range.
The colours are clearer in the second photo which shows the full range and I'll be adding a better image as soon as I have a sample to photograph.
This listing is for shade 2511 reddish grey. It is much more attractive than the name would suggest, and I think will make a great colour for any cherry blossom themed projects, as it is a lovely shade. I would describe it as a reddish pink!
Richly coloured yarn dyed tsumugi cotton fabric from Olympus Thread Mfg. Co., good for sashiko, patchwork, bag making and other projects. The coloured warp and black weft gives this fabric a deep colour, with little slubs to add texture and character. The weave is loose enough to easily stitch sashiko with fine or medium sashiko threads but close enough to be able to do quite fine patchwork piecing. Ideal for wearables, furoshiki wrapping cloths etc.
