A thicker cotton fabric from Olympus Thread Mfg. Co., printed to imitate kogin stitching, in black on a light warm grey/cream background. Perfect for including in many patchwork projects (a half metre will give several different random patterns) and ideal where you want a kogin look but without the bulk e.g. wearables. Patterns are printed in wide bands parallel to the selvedge.I also have this fabric in blue and red. This listing is for the black version of the print.
Takumi fabrics have a slightly looser weave and lower thread counts than patchwork fabrics, and are similar to some sashiko fabrics, so they are great for sashiko stitch, boro etc.
110cm wide.
100% cotton
Made in Japan by Olympus Thread Mfg. Co.NB - sold per half metre, so order '2' for one metre, '3' for 1.5m etc.
This fabric is being discontinued and I may not be able to reorder it.
