Medium mercerised sashiko thread 100m skein, shade #102 cream. Suitable for all your sashiko and boro stitching. May be used double or singly.
Please note - this mercerised thread feels slightly smoother and thinner than the non-mercerised 20m sashiko thread. It is less likely to 'shred' or go slightly fluffy when stitching. The cream shade #102 is also a slightly different colour from the 20m cream shade #02.
The skein band colour has recently been changed for this thread - the old bands are blue, the new ones are white. As this has been out of stock at Olympus for a couple of months, I have been sending out threads with the 'old' band colour that I had been keeping for workshops. It is exactly the same thread, just with slightly different packaging.
Ideal with for my printed sashiko panels.
Sashiko needles - use either Olympus Thread Mfg. Co.sashiko needles 2 pack or 4 pack.
Available in 14 beautiful solid colours, plus 'bokashi' (shading to white) and varigated multicolours.
