This listing is for the kit version of the coaster panel set, which includes the printed coaster panel, one 20m skein of medium shade #01 white sashiko thread and an Olympus sashiko needle. A nice gift for a sashiko stitcher or a great way to get started with a little taste of sashiko.
These pre printed panels from Olympus Thread Mfg. Co. have all the sashiko fabric you need to make this cute set of coasters. They are printed on golden yellow Kofu Tsumugi (I call this colour mustard yellow in the main Kofu Tsumugi listings) - the same fabric used for my sashiko panels and also available unprinted by the half metre. Each panel is supplied in one piece for you to stitch, cut and make up into your coasters. Instructions are in English! There is the option to either fold over the edges and hem the coasters, or to back them with another fabric (not supplied), so they have a very generous allowance all round, making them large enough to mix and match with the smaller squares printed down the centres of my sashiko panels - add a coaster panel to one of the sashiko panels for a patchwork project and you would have a total of 13 different designs in the smaller square size. Also available in #TC-2 navy blue (I call it indigo blue in the Kofu Tsumugi range), #TC-3 deep red and #TC-4 purple (I call this lilac purple). They look great used as the centre squares in a patchwork table runner too (see final photo).
Also available as panel only.
Finished of each coaster size approx 4in (10cm) square.
This coaster panel is not available in Japan!
Marks wash out. NB - the marks have less contrast than my pre printed sashiko panels. The fabric is indigo colour, not natural indigo, so the colour won't run.
Designed and made by Olympus Thread Mfg. Co. in Japan.
100% cotton.

NB - international shipping* is temporarily disabled. New shipping rates by weight will be coming soon!
*EU shipping can only resume when the EU simplifies its VAT regulations on mail orders. Please complain to your MEP to try to change the regs for small non EU businesses! We can't calculate, charge and remit the different amounts of VAT to all 27 EU countries four times a year, when we are one person businesses. It is too much admin and too expensive to employ an EU based agent as currently required.
