'Laburnum Falls' in black (first photo) from the Water Garden collection by Sanderson for FreeSpirit Fabrics is a delicate tree and foliage design with a rather 1930s feeling about it. I'm not really sure if they are laburnum or pale pink wisteria, which look rather similar! Although listed as 'black' the background looks more brown to me.
The other photos show the rest of the fabrics I have managed to get from this fabulous collection*. Known internationally for their lush florals with a classic British 'country house' style, Sanderson bring a contemporary touch to their designs. The company holds the Royal Warrant and is synonymous with top quality.
Quantities are limited, and I can't reorder this range. *I missed the advance ordering for this, otherwise I'd have had all the prints!
Printed on patchwork weight cotton, this fabric makes an ideal coordinate for my sashiko panels, and the colours can be matched from my extensive range of sashiko threads. Free Spirit fabrics are printed on a 68 count cotton rather than the 60 count used for many other brands, meaning they are slightly finer than many patchwork fabrics and are also suitable for making clothing.
