I love stylised foliage designs, so 'Butternut Vines' in the yam brown colourway from Acorn Hollow by Basic Grey for Moda, is a fabric that I wanted to get. The design includes acorns and oak leaves if you look closely (we have a huge oak tree on our verge, so the oak is a motif I love), and the rich tan and brown will coordinate well with many other plant, foliage and animal fabrics I have in stock. Printed on patchwork weight cotton, these fabrics would be lovely for patchwork, dressmaking, or make an ideal coordinate for my sashiko panels - the colours can be matched from my extensive range of sashiko threads.
