The colours of morning glories, traditionally a mid summer flower in Japan inspired this collection of colours which I've called 'asagao', the Japanese name for the flower. I particularly love the striped variety 'Edo Elegance', as shown in the third photo taken by a friend in Yuza-machi in late July. This collection includes one 18m skein each of shades #117, #616, #306, #364, #371, #212, and #618 - 7 skeins for the price of 6! #616 is more purplish than blue. Chosen to reflect some the different varieties of morning glories. This matte six strand kogin thread can be split and recombined. Also suitable for other embroidery techniques.
