If you are wanting to start doing kogin with your stitching group, with friends or as a mini workshop, this kogin materials starter pack will fit the bill. This pack has enough needles, fabric and thread for 15 students to make two small samples each, approx 11 x 12cm, and for you to make a couple of demo samples. You will need my book, The Ultimate Kogin Collection, for motif patterns. Motif shown is Neko no Ashi (cat's paw), but other smaller designs could be stitched from the first section of the pattern directory. The fabrics included give your students the chance to try stitching on light coloured 18 count 100% cotton (best to start on the light fabric) and also the more traditional 20 count dark indigo 100% linen. Each fabric piece can be cut into sixteen 11 x 12cm pieces, ideal for a first try at kogin. The threads include various colours that can be used on either light or dark fabric.

Before stitching, zigzag the edges of each 11 x 12cm piece, to reduce fraying.
