These pre printed panels from Lecien's Cosmo 'hidamari' ('sunny spot') range have a fresh, contemporary style, and will give your sashiko colourful look to suit modern interiors. Lecien have reinvented the traditional hanfukin as a sashiko sampler 'multi cloth' that can be used as a place mat, tray cloth, napkin or other useful cloth around the home, or made up as a cushion, bag panel or other project.

This traditional aya sugi (herringbone weave) design is printed as a rectangle on a warm beige (or light mustard) 50% linen 50% cotton blend to include fabric to back the panel (although you could draw more sashiko designs on this plain section and back the panel with something else).  Instructions are in Japanese, but are pictorial and very easy to follow.

Each panel requires 15m of sashiko thread (approx.)  While of course they are ideal with the Lecien Cosmo 'Hidamari' sashiko thread ranges, they are also suitable for any medium or fine sashiko thread, so you can really play with colours.

This design is also available in reddish orange and off white.

Finished size of each panel, made up as a 'multicloth' - 32 cm (12 1/2in) square.

Marks wash out.
