This truly is 'one from the vaults' - my wholesaler has unearthed some treasures that must have been at the back of the warehouse for years! Hence the great discount price that I am passing on directly to YOU!
One of Jane Sassaman's 'Jane's Hothouse Garden' prints from 2007 (!), for FreeSpirit/Westminster Fabrics, the colours in this are my favourite purples and greens. I could see this making a fabulouly bold, if short, border - the design runs in bands from selvedge to selvedge - and I love that purple and green.
To give an idea of the scale, the first photo shows a detail approx. 8in square while the second photo shows the pattern half the width of the fabric.
Printed on patchwork weight cotton, this fabric makes an ideal coordinate for my sashiko panels, and the colours can be matched from my extensive range of sashiko threads.
I don't think it will be around long at this price. But I must make sure I get some for me...
