A thicker cotton fabric from Olympus Thread Mfg. Co., excellent for sashiko, patchwork, bag making and other projects. It is made to look like old cloth, with subtle colours and a slight wrinkle in the texture, and feels like a soft, handwoven cotton. The weave is loose enough to easily stitch sashiko with fine, medium or thick sashiko threads. Ideal for wearables, boro style patchwork, or any project where an antique look is desired. This is shade #51 ivory, which has just arrived on the bolt for the first time.
 
This is the same fabric, in shade #43, that was used for many of the projects and pattern directory samples in 'The Ultimate Sashiko Sourcebook', including the large sampler quilt opposite the title page.
