I first used Clover Soft Touch crochet hooks when I worked in Japan over 30 years ago, and I'm still using some of the same hooks. They were a revelation in comfort - I no longer got cramp from long periods of crochet. But they also speeded up my crochet, and back in 2001/2002 I was the officially the UK's fastest crocheter, after entering a speed contest at the Knitting and Stitching Show! When I went to the USA to compete at a knitting event in New York in 2002, I used my Clover Soft Touch hook. It was a close run - USA crochet designer and author Lily Chin won by 2 stitches!
