From 'Urban Homestead Gatherings Wovens' from Moda, this pack of forty two 5in squares includes the whole range, in shades of off white, grey, brown and black.
Limited stock - and once these are gone, I can't get more!
These are brushed cottons, so you have the choice of using them with the slightly fluffy side up, or flipping them over (as I'm doing in a scrap quilt project) so the brushed side is the 'wrong' side, and the woven patterns look a little sharper.
Although these are not Japanese inspired fabrics, I think the woven checks go incredibly well with Japanese fabrics, and they would make a great addition to a contemporary style boro inspired piece. Originally, I bought myself a layer cake as a one off, but when I saw how lovely these were, I wanted them for my online store as well! I'm combining this charm pack with a 'Yukata' and a 'Warp and Weft - Moonglow' pack to make a very simple checkerboard patchwork snuggle quilt.

NB - because these patterns are woven and not printed, some of the squares may not be exactly on grain, and it shows. I'm using a pack for a scrap quilt, and I like the quirkiness this gives to the patchwork, with some of the fabrics obviously not straight. It would also look good on a piece of boro. But if you are someone who hates having their fabric grain slightly off true, maybe give this pack a miss!

*EU shipping can only resume when the EU simplifies its VAT regulations on mail orders. Please complain to your MEP to try to change the regs for small non EU businesses! We can't calculate, charge and remit the different amounts of VAT to all 27 EU countries four times a year, when we are one person businesses. It is too much admin and too expensive to employ an EU based agent as currently required.
