This linen look 100% cotton fabric from Japanese manufacturer Sevenberry homespun cotton is printed to look like vintage katazome (stencil dyed) fabric, in dark indigo blue on cream. The slightly lower thread count, linen look plain weave, and soft thickness is almost identical to the Takumi range from Olympus Thread Mfg. Co., and the two ranges work well together. Ideal for boro inspired work, sashiko, bags, home textile or wearables, this is a versatile fabric. I included it in some of the projects in 'The Book of Boro'. Lovely to hand stitch.

Sevenberry don't name their fabric patterns, just give them code numbers, which can be hard to remember, so we call this one seigaiha (ocean waves). It is a traditional Japanese geometric design, which you may recognise from sashiko.
