Arts and Crafts inspiration with a contemporary twist, 'Flower Dance' by Jane Sassaman for FreeSpirit Fabrics has gorgeous stylised floral patterns in luciously bold colours. This listing is for these scattered 'Gingko' leaves, one of my favourite leaf shapes, that always have such a graceful, elegant curve. In various golds and greens against a deep 'indigo' blue backgrounds, this will coordinate well with the rest of this range for your patchwork design, clothing, or lightweight home dec projects. I think the 'indigo' blue in this range is more of an ultramarine, with a slight hint of purple rather than the greenish indigo found in many Japanese fabrics.
Printed on patchwork weight cotton, this fabric makes an ideal coordinate for my sashiko panels, and the colours can be matched from my extensive range of sashiko threads. Free Spirit fabrics are printed on a 68 count cotton rather than the 60 count used for many other brands, meaning they are slightly finer than many patchwork fabrics and are also suitable for making clothing.
I will be making up some fat quarter bundles - as soon as possible.
