'nami' by Sevenberry linen look cotton by 1/2m
This linen look 100% cotton fabric from Japanese manufacturer Sevenberry homespun cotton is printed to look like vintage edo komon (Edo small pattern, a stencil dyed fabric), in cream on dark indigo blue. The slightly lower thread count, linen look plain weave, and soft thickness is almost identical to the Takumi range from Olympus Thread Mfg. Co., and the two ranges work well together. Ideal for boro inspired work, sashiko, bags, home textile or wearables, this is a versatile fabric. I included it in some of the projects in 'The Book of Boro'. Lovely to hand stitch.
Sevenberry don't name their fabric patterns, just give them code numbers, which can be hard to remember, so we call this one nami (waves). The second photo shows a larger area of the design.
110cm (43in) wide (approx).
Made in Japan
This is not natural indigo and the colour does not run.
NB - sold by the half metre, so order '2' for 1 metre, '3' for 1.5m etc.
