These bold, saturated woven two tone fabrics 'Crossweave' by Moda, are perfect when you want intense colours. The jewel like tones would bring out the colours in complimentary patchwork prints, and they would make a beautiful lightweight fabric for sashiko, probably with 4-ply or 3-ply fine sashiko threads. A 'Crossweave' Layer Cake would be an excellent resource for making a random boro pieced quilt, similar to the throw I made for The Book Of Boro, where fabric strips with the same width, but different lengths, were pieced into a long strip and then added randomly around a central section of patchwork (guess what I would want to make with one?)
This listing is for the Layer Cake in the first photo. The remaining photos show the colours in this range fanned out, so you can see them better.
I had a really good deal on these from my wholesaler, so I am passing that discount straight on to you, and there's 10% this Layer Cake.
