This linen look 100% cotton fabric from Japanese manufacturer Sevenberry homespun cotton is printed to look like vintage kasuri (double ikat) woven fabric, in cream on dark indigo blue. The slightly lower thread count, linen look plain weave, and soft thickness is almost identical to the Takumi range from Olympus Thread Mfg. Co., and the two ranges work well together. Ideal for boro inspired work, sashiko, bags, home textile or wearables, this is a versatile fabric. I included it in some of the projects in 'The Book of Boro'. Lovely to hand stitch.

Sevenberry don't name their fabric patterns, just give them code numbers, which can be hard to remember, so we call this one igeta (well curb).  This # pattern is a popular design for woven and niko niko (printed or faux) kasuri.  Genuine woven kasuri is very expensive, as ths threads have to be dyed before weaving, and this printed version is a very convincing and affordable substitute.
