The name Saariselkä literally means "island-ridge" (suáluiščielgi in Inari Sami and suoločielgi in Northern Sami). It is a famous fell range and resort area in Finnish Lapland, and it is snowy for around 200 days a year!
This listing is for the symmetrical 'North Star' design (first photo), in the charcoal colourway. I also have this print in stock in gold. Patchwork weight cotton, perfect for dressmaking, lightweight home dec, patchwork and quilting, as a sashiko coordinate, and for other stitch crafts.
