William Morris and Morris & Co. fabric designs are timeless - more popular now than when they were first released! These recent versions of some of his classic designs are reinterpreted by Barbara Brackman for Moda, and I'm passing my wholesaler's discount straight on to you.
This 5in charm pack (first photo) has 42 pieces including the whole range of fabrics - those I have available by the half metre are shown in the other photos.
Printed on patchwork weight cotton, these fabrics make an ideal coordinate for my sashiko panels, and the colours can be matched from my extensive range of sashiko threads.
At the moment William Morris designs are hugely popular in Japan too - my friends at Yuza Sashiko Guild have been interpreting some of these patterns in sashiko!

Morris Manor from Barbara Brackman is Moda’s latest update of William Morris’s classic design. The collection is named for the family’s summer home, Kelmscott Manor, a riverside house they began renting annually in the 1870s. Morris thought Kelmscott Manor was “heaven on earth,” a spot he captured in colours echoing the seasonal view. At the Morris Manor, they boated, their daughters grew up, and Morris tended his gardens that provided inspiration for the floral prints. A few favourites from the earlier Morris lines have been recoloured in river-inspired shades of blue and green. Print collectors will be glad to know they have added some not reproduced earlier, such as the leafy Branch and the Scroll floral.
