This truly is 'one from the vaults' - my wholesaler has unearthed some treasures that must have been at the back of the warehouse for years! Hence the great discount price that I am passing on directly to YOU!

First of Infinity by Kumiko Fujita for Lecien features many bold text-based prints like this one, printed in black on a natural 55% cotton, 45% linen greige fabric base. It has a similar weight to other cotton/linen blends I stock from Japan, closer to a heavier patchwork weight than a canvas, as this range is sometimes described, and with that slight extra texture and crispness of linen in the mix. The Japanese use of Western text on fabric has always fascinated me, and I find fabric with words or letters hard to resist. Even the selvedge on this one is worth using! The words run parallel to the selvedge. Tallest letters are approx. 4in (10cm). Good for patchwork, bags, clothing, and light home dec.

To give an idea of the scale, the first photo shows a detail approx. 8in wide while the second photo shows the pattern half the width of the fabric.

This fabric makes an interesting coordinate for my sashiko panels, and the colours can be matched from my extensive range of sashiko threads

I don't think it will be around long at this price.
