NB - Moda toweling fabric is a 100% cotton, thick woven fabric sold by the yard that features vintage-style stripes and plaids, 18in wide, with hemmed selvedges . It is a thick fabric with a low thread count, suitable for sashiko and a similar weave to Moda 'chore cloth'. It could be used for kogin (counted sashiko) with a little patience, or cross stitch.  Used for home dec like kitchen towels, tea towels, aprons, table runners, and placemats, and could be used for items like bags, cushions etc. It is not suitable for patchwork, as the weave is just too chunky, but could be used for Japanese boro inspired stitching.

The 'Nautical Blue' towelling check is one of the wovens from Summer Solstice collection by Pieces to Treasure, designed by Jenelle Kent for Moda. This listing is for the dark blue colourway (first photo), with the grid check woven in off white. The colours coordinate perfectly with the more finely woven checks and stripes from the same collection (remaining photos). I got a discount from my wholesaler, so I'm passing that on directly on to you.
