14N-1 Takumi RED cotton 'spots' (per half metre)
A thicker cotton fabric from Olympus Thread Mfg. Co., printed to imitate antique fabric, with light warm grey/cream random spots on a red background. Spots measure approx. 5mm accross. Perfect for including in many patchwork projects and the perfect coordinate for Takumi panel designs, like the kimono, hanten, cats and rabbits - ideal where you want a hint of old Japan.
Takeshi san and Yuko san at Olympus have helped me have a 'virtual' dig around some of the discontinued bolts of Takumi fabric from the Olympus stock room, and I have the very last two bolts of this that they had. It isn't repeatable, so if you like it, order it now. I will be listing some more of their discontinued 'treasures' just as they arrive!
Takumi fabrics have a slightly looser weave and lower thread counts than patchwork fabrics, and are similar to some sashiko fabrics, so they are great for sashiko stitch, boro etc.
Made in Japan by Olympus Thread Mfg. Co.
NB - sold per half metre, so order '2' for one metre, '3' for 1.5m etc.
