Starting sashiko but don't know which sashiko fabric you want to stitch on? Or planning a new sashiko project but can't decide which fabric will be best, or which shade of blue to choose? This pack is a convenient way to try out different my most popular sashiko fabrics, in every different shade of blue!
This pack includes ten 25 x 27cm (approx.) assorted pieces cut from 110cm wide new sashiko fabrics in various shades of indigo blue (these are not natural indigos, and the colours won't run), plus a skein of either white
or cream
100m 6-ply medium mercerised Yokota Daruma sashiko thread, and a pack of four Olympus sashiko needles
in assorted sizes. All fabrics are available by the half metre - just click the links in the list below.Olympus -

They are 100% cotton, apart from the Akita fabric which is 80% cotton/20% linen, and vary in thickness. The 25 x 27cm (approx.) pieces are large enough to use for the sample designs in The Ultimate Sashiko Sourcebook
or Japanese Quilt Blocks to Mix and Match, and could be quartered and trimmed to make four 4 1/2in squares each, as used in Sashiko 365
.Price saves 5% on buying these items individually. There's an option to add a Clover White Marking Pen (fine)
(international packaging with instructions in English and various other European languages), for an extra £7.50 (price sold separately is £8) so you have the ideal fabric marker too. This is my favourite marking pen for use on dark fabrics. The line goes white as it dries (see last two photos).

NB - international shipping* is temporarily disabled. New shipping rates by weight will be coming soon!
*EU shipping can only resume when the EU simplifies its VAT regulations on mail orders. Please complain to your MEP to try to change the regs for small non EU businesses! We can't calculate, charge and remit the different amounts of VAT to all 27 EU countries four times a year, when we are one person businesses. It is too much admin and too expensive to employ an EU based agent as currently required.
