'karakusa to kiku' by Sevenberry linen look cotton by 1/2m

£7.50Price

This linen look 100% cotton fabric from Japanese manufacturer Sevenberry homespun cotton is printed to look like vintage katazome (stencil dyed) fabric, in cream on dark indigo blue. The slightly lower thread count, linen look plain weave, and soft thickness is almost identical to the Takumi range from Olympus Thread Mfg. Co., and the two ranges work well together. Ideal for boro inspired work, sashiko, bags, home textile or wearables, this is a versatile fabric. This is one of the fabric prints I used for the Yogi Quilt project in 'The Book of Boro'. Lovely to hand stitch.

Sevenberry don't name their fabric patterns, just give them code numbers, which can be hard to remember, so we call this one karakusa to kiku (scrolling vine and chrysanthemum).

110cm (43in) wide (approx).

100% cotton

Made in Japan

This is not natural indigo and the colour does not run.

NB - sold by the half metre, so order '2' for 1 metre, '3' for 1.5m etc.
