Five fat quarters chosen by me and inspired by the intense colours of Maruike-sama, a deep blue pool at the base of Mount Chōkai, one of Yuza-machi's beauty spots (see the last three photos for my colour inspiration!).

Fabrics include four prints by Jason Yenter for In the Beginning, plus a grid pattern from 'Nature Walk' by Grace Popp for StudioE. The woodblock print quality of the trees in the third photo is just gorgeous and could be fussy cut in interesting ways, while the other prints suggested the ripples in the water. The StudioE fabric pattern reminded me of the gridded screen at the small shrine in the last photo, which stands beside the pool, and is full of tied papers for good fortunes. All top quality patchwork fabrics that just looked beatiful together, and just like the surprisingly strong colours around that volcanic pool.
 
I add more bundles on different themes from time to time. It is easier (and more fun for me!) to make these fat quarter bundles in one-off batches, rather than trying to repeat the same fabric assortment, so once these are gone, I will not repeat them.
