KOGIN 'lucky bag' - 'wintertime' - on 18 count fabric
Do you know the Japanese New Year sale tradition of the Lucky Bag? You get a great value discounted selection of goodies, but you can't look inside the bag first - it's a mystery. Lucky bags may be themed by products (stationery, accessories, makeup etc.) and are sold by stores in the New Year sales.
My lucky bags are themed by technique (sashiko, kogin etc.) and/or a keyword or phrase, such as 'wintertime', 'golden' or 'Japanese New Year' to give you a clue as to the products and colour themes of each bag. This kogin 'lucky bag' has at least £22 standard retail value of goods with 20% discount on each 'bag'. This Kogin bag will contain a pre cut 'fat quarter' of 18 count cotton kogin fabric (usually £10 each) and four skeins of kogin threads (usually £3 each, and may include shaded threads which are usually £3.85 each) all colour coordinated on the theme and chosen individually by me. This 'lucky bag' will include dark fabric.
Think'wintertime' - what colours does that bring to mind? Hint - kogin is sometimes said to represent snow of the ground. Have fun!
