ALL THE SHADES MEGA gift pack! 7 x 100m sashiko threads + 2 needles
Do you remember the excitement of getting a big set of coloured pencils, crayons or felt tipped pens when you were a child? Or even when you were quite a lot older? Dreaming about what you would draw with them... I've decided to introduce some special gift packs of sashiko threads for Christmas, and they were so poplar, I kept them. So this is my 'colouring set' of ALL seven 100m medium sashiko threads in variegated and shaded colours (there are separate sets for the plain ones), with a little discount as my Christmas gift to you. Purchased separately, the price would be £49, but the full set is just £46, and I'll pop in a set of two Olympus sashiko needles as well (worth £2.50), so you can start stitching straight away. 700 metres of sashiko thread!
Please note - this mercerised thread feels slightly thinner than the 20m sashiko thread. TIdeal with for my printed sashiko panels.Threads will be packed together with the needles in a cellophane packet.
Ideal with the Olympus Thread Mfg. Co. printed sashiko panels. One panel requires one skein of thread approx. if used singly, more if used doubled.
Made in Japan
How to open your sashiko skein
Sashiko threads skeins have to be opened out before use. Slide of the skein band first. You will find all the thread is tied together at one point. Cut through the skein at the knot, so all the threads are cut (you'll find these are the ideal length for stitching doubled). Push all the thread through the skein band, and then plait the thread loosely. Pull out each thread as you need it from the loop end of the plait, not the 'fringed' end. This saves time trying to wind the thread into a ball, keeps it tidy and you know the thread shade number if you need to re order.
