ALL THE COLOURS gift pack! 29 x 20m plain sashiko threads + 2 needles
Do you remember the excitement of getting a big set of coloured pencils, crayons or felt tipped pens when you were a child? Or even when you were quite a lot older? Dreaming about what you would draw with them... I've decided to do some special gift packs of sashiko threads Christmas this year. So this is my 'colouring set' of ALL twenty nine 20m medium sashiko threads in plain colours (I'll make a separate set for the shaded ones), with a little discount as my Christmas gift to you. Purchased separately, the price would be £58, but the full set is just £55, and I'll pop in a set of two Olympus sashiko needles as well.
Medium sashiko thread 20m skein. Suitable for all your sashiko stitching. Maybe used double or singly. Threads will be packed in two cellophane packets.
Please note - this thread feels slightly thicker than the 100m mercerised sashiko thread. Shade 01 White is a bright white, not an antique white like the 100m shade 101 mercerised sashiko thread. Shade 02 Cream is also a slightly different colour from 100m shade 102 mercerised sashiko thread.
Ideal with the Olympus Thread Mfg. Co. printed sashiko panels as an alternative to the 100m sashiko thread. One panel requires five skeins of thread approx.
Made in Japan
How to open your sashiko skein
Sashiko threads skeins have to be opened out before use. Slide of the skein band first. You will find all the thread is tied together at one point. Cut through the skein at the knot, so all the threads are cut (you'll find these are the ideal length for stitching doubled). Push all the thread through the skein band, and then plait the thread loosely. Pull out each thread as you need it from the loop end of the plait, not the 'fringed' end. This saves time trying to wind the thread into a ball, keeps it tidy and you know the thread shade number if you need to re order.
