New colours will be arriving around 10th February 2024, and packs will be sent out after that.

Do you remember the excitement of getting a big set of coloured pencils, crayons or felt tipped pens when you were a child? Or even when you were quite a lot older? Dreaming about what you would draw with them...

With the introduction of 11 new colours in the 20m sashiko thread range, I've decided to revivive my 'All The Colours' mega set. So this is my 'colouring set' of ALL forty 20m medium sashiko threads in plain colours, allowing so many wonderful blending opportunities in your sashiko projects.

Medium sashiko thread 20m skein.  Suitable for all your sashiko stitching.  Maybe used double or singly.

Please note - this thread feels slightly thicker than the 100m mercerised sashiko thread. Shade 01 White is a bright white, not an antique white like the 100m shade 101  mercerised sashiko thread.  Shade 02 Cream is also a slightly different colour from 100m shade 102 mercerised sashiko thread.

Ideal with the Olympus Thread Mfg. Co. printed hanafukin sashiko panels as an alternative to the 100m sashiko thread, or for my sashiko panels when you want to work in many colours. See individual panels for exact thread quantities.

  • Sashiko threads skeins have to be opened out before use. Slide of the skein band first. You will find all the thread is tied together at one point.  Cut through the skein at the knot, so all the threads are cut (you'll find these are the ideal length for stitching doubled).  Push all the thread through the skein band, and then plait the thread loosely.  Pull out each thread as you need it from the loop end of the plait, not the 'fringed' end. This saves time trying to wind the thread into a ball, keeps it tidy and you know the thread shade number if you need to re order.
