Shima Momen is a beautiful wide woven stripe fabric from Olympus Thread Mfg. Co., excellent for sashiko (incorporate the stripe into your design), patchwork, bag making and other projects. The weave, which is the same as the Kofu Tsumugi yarn dyed cottons, is loose enough to easily stitch sashiko with fine or medium sashiko threads. Woven with a striped coloured warp and a black weft. Ideal for wearables, boro style patchwork, cushion borders, or sashing, borders and bindings for quilts - anywhere you want a top quality stripe. Colours coordinate with the Kofu Tsumugi range.
