A 35 x 30cm (13 3/4 x 11 3/4in) precut piece of Kofu Tsumugi cotton fabric from Olympus Thread Mfg. Co., a richly coloured yarn dyed tsumugi cotton fabric from Olympus Thread Mfg. Co., good for sashiko, patchwork, bag making and other projects. The coloured warp and black weft gives this fabric a deep colour, with little slubs to add texture and character. The weave is loose enough to easily stitch sashiko with fine or medium sashiko threads but close enough to be able to do quite fine patchwork piecing. It is the same tsumugi fabric as my limited edition pre printed panels, geometric A2007 and kamon crests B2007. This smaller, handy size is conveneint for sashiko cushion panels or for collecting lots of shades for a patchwork project.

This is the same fabric that was used for many of the sashiko and pieced blocks in 'Japanese Quilt Blocks to Mix and March', including the large blue sashiko and kasuri  sampler quilt.

The 35 x 30cm (13 3/4 x 11 3/4in) precut size is smaller than a 'fat quarter' size (50cm x half bolt width). The fabric is cut and packed in Japan to this standard size.
The code number in the title is the Olympus Thread Mfg. Co. stock number for this precut with the bolt shade number in brackets. The pack labels refer to this number rather than the main shade number.
